Man Claiming To Be Al Sharpton's Half Brother Charged With Murder

The man was charged with murder in Dothan, Alabama.

DOTHAN, AL – A man claiming to be Rev. Al Sharpton's half-brother has been charged with murder in Alabama. Kenneth Glasgow, along with Jaime Townes, 26, was arrested after Breunia Jennings was found dead in a wrecked car around 10:50 p.m. on Sunday in Dothan.

A report by the Dothan Eagle said more arrests may occur. The Eagle's report also stated that in a news conference on Monday, police said they believe that Townes was angry at Jennings because he believed she had stolen his car.

Police believe Glasgow drove a car from which Townes fired the shots that resulted in the death of Jennings.

“Instead of him notifying law enforcement, he took matters in his own hands and jumped in Mr. Glasgow’s vehicle to find Breunia Jennings," Dothan Police Chief Steve Parrish told the Eagle. Jennings "suffered a gunshot wound to the head," according to Parrish, who said Townes fired several rounds at the vehicle she was driving.

Glasgow claims to be the half brother of Sharpton, the founder of the National Action Network, according to WKRG-TV and several other reports.
