Highlands Bar & Grill Honored By National Publication
The accolades keep coming in for Birmingham's Highlands Bar & Grill, as the restaurant was named one of Eater's Essential Restaurants.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - If you didn't already know it, Birmingham has some pretty impressive restaurants. The culinary scene in the Magic City has received worldwide attention in the last decade, and much of that attention has been spearheaded by Highlands Bar & Grill, which this week received another high honor in the industry.
Eater, a worldwide restaurant website, named Highlands as one of “America’s 38 Essential Restaurants”- adding to a list of accolades the 5 Points South eatery has received.
Earlier this year, The James Beard Foundation named Highlands Bar & Grill its Outstanding Restaurant for 2018. Highlands has been a finalist the last 10 years, but this year was the first time the restaurant has won the prestigious award. Frank Stitt, perhaps Birmingham's most famous chef, has been nominated several times for the JBF's top chef distinction.
