Young Republican Federation Of Alabama Pulls Support Of Roy Moore
The Young Republican Federations of Alabama issued a statement saying it has withdrawn its support of Roy Moore.

MONTGOMERY, AL - The Young Republican Federation of Alabama announced it will not back GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore, unless Moore produces some legitimate evidence that allegations of sexual misconduct against him are untrue.
A statement by the YRFA said, "Until such time that Roy Moore has successfully refuted all
allegations against him, the Young Republican Federation of Alabama Steering Committee joins in
with the Republican National Committee, the National Republican Senatorial Committee, Senator
Richard Shelby and other Republicans in suspending all support for Roy Moore as a candidate for
the United States Senate."

The statement also said the organization is not taking away Moore's rights to due process, but that the organizations's duty to the success of the party prevent it from backing Moore at the moment. "Young Republican Federation of Alabama Steering Committee believe in innocence until proven guilty but not necessarily electability until proven guilty; and our duty is not to the individual candidates but to the longstanding growth and sustainability of the Republican Party," the statement says.
Moore's campaign did respond to the organization's stance, saying, "Like Mitch McConnell, these Young Republicans are apparently willing to divide the party and deliver the senate seat into the hands of a radical liberal because of false allegations published in The Washington Post. They are part of the reason Alabama will elect Roy Moore on December 12."

Democratic candidate Doug Jones, who in many polls has taken the lead over Moore since the allegations surfaced, said, "An increasing number of Republicans and business groups refuse to support Roy Moore because he is divisive, would embarrass the state and would hurt economic development, costong Alabama good-paying jobs. As his fellow Republicans point out, Roy Moore has yet to answer these serious charges from a growing number of women."
