15-Year-Old Charged In Graysville Murder
A 15-year-old suspect has been charged with the July 19 murder of Austin Lee Nunn.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has charged a 15-year-old suspect with the July 19 murder of Austin Lee Nunn. Nunn was found dead in Graysville after deputies responded to a report of shots being fired.
Just after 2:15 p.m. July 19, deputies were called to Nunn's home where they found Nunn dead on the scene with gunshot wounds.

Detectives began an investigation into the murder and developed information that a red SUV had been seen near the residence around the time of the murder. Detectives cross referenced the victim’s cellular phone records with vehicle registrations and learned that one of the people in his phone log owned a red SUV. They contacted the registered owner and discovered that the vehicle has been driven by a family member on the day of the murder. The family member was identified as a 15-year-old male.
Detectives located the suspect and questioned him. During questioning he admitted shooting Nunn during a drug deal at the home. The teen was arrested and charged with Capital Murder and was taken to the Jefferson County Youth Detention Facility.
