18-Year-Old Shot And Killed In Fairfield

The Jefferson County Coroner's office has identified an 18-year-old who sustained fatal gunshot wounds in Fairfield Monday afternoon.

FAIRFIELD, AL —The Jefferson County Coroner’s office has identified an 18-year-old killed Monday evening, according to various news outlets.

Antwaun Demaun Horn, 18, was killed by gunshot during a reported assault.

On Monday at around 3:20 p.m., Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of an 18-year-old shot in an alley behind a store at the 300 block of Valley Road. Horn was transported to UAB West Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The death is being investigated as a homicide, according to a report in the Trussville Tribune.
