2 Dead After Shooting In West Birmingham
Birmingham police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Monday night at a home in West Birmingham.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — Two people are dead after a shooting at a home in West Birmingham Monday night. The incident occurred just after 10:30 p.m. at 1481 Edwards St.
The Jefferson County Coroner has identified the victims as 75-year-old Eula Mae Moore and 54-year-old Derrick Cornell Moore.
Officer Truman Fitzgerald of the Birmingham Police Department said officers found two people in the residence suffering gunshot wounds. Both victims were pronounced dead on the scene. Fitzgerald said the death of one of the victims is being investigated as a homicide, and the death of the second victim found is still an unclassified death.
