2 Men Plead Guilty In Homewood Walmart Carjacking Case
Keven Elice Payne, 20, and Kenmarious Markeon Faulkner, 18, entered their guilty pleas this week in U.S. District Court.
BIRMINGHAM, AL - A carjacking in Homewood Oct. 3 led to the arrest of two Birmingham men, who have now pleaded guilty to the crime. Keven Elice Payne, 20, and Kenmarious Markeon Faulkner, 18, entered their guilty pleas this week before U.S. District Court Judge Karon O. Bowdre.
The holdup happened Oct. 5 outside the Walmart Supercenter on Lakeshore Parkway. As the woman was getting into her silver 2005 Buick LeSabre, Payne and Faulkner appeared and prevented her from closing the door, according to an Alabama Media Group report.
Both men then grabbed the woman and forcibly removed her from the vehicle. They stole her sedan and sped away. A lookout bulletin was issued and, a short time later, police spotted the Buick LeSabre on Interstate 65 and tried to pull over the driver. The driver refused to stop, and a pursuit ensued.
