3-Year-Old Child Killed After Deck Collapses At Birmingham Home

BIRMINGHAM, AL - A deck collapsed at a Birmingham home Tuesday night, killing one child and injuring two other minors. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. on Frieda Jane Lane near the Killbough Springs neighborhood.

Birmingham Fire Department PIO Sebastian Carrillo said 10 people were on the deck - positioned approximately nine feet off the ground - when it collapsed. Three children were taken to Children's Hospital, where three-year-old Titus Hubbard was pronounced dead.

A 12-year-old child and a 6-year-old child were treated for injuries. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
