28-Year-Old Man Dead After Ensley Shooting
Birmingham police are investigating a deadly shooting in Ensley Thursday night.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — Birmingham police are investigating a deadly shooting in Enlsey Thursday night that claimed the life of 28-year-old Reginald Kelly. The incident occurred just after 9 p.m. at 1715 51st Street.
Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said officers found Kelly inside the residence, and had him transported to UAB Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
No suspects are in custody, but Mauldin said the preliminary investigation suggests that Kelly had been in a verbal altercation with the shooter before the was shot.
