3,000 Coronoavirus Deaths Confirmed In Alabama
The Alabama Department of Public Health has confirmed 3,000 deaths from COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
MONTGOMERY, AL — Alabama has now reached 3,000 confirmed deaths from COVID-19, according to Sunday's report from the Alabama Department of Public Health. Another 248 deaths have been listed as "probable" COVID-19 deaths.
The state has reported 183,491 total cases of the virus, with another 34,331 cases deemed "probable," meaning the case was confirmed via an antibody test.
The recent spike in COVID-19 cases all over the country in November has definitely made its way to Alabama, as the ADPH has confirmed 24,326 new cases of the virus in the last 14 days, which is one of the largest two-week totals ever recorded in the state.

As of Saturday, 1,120 people were hospitalized with coronavirus in Alabama.

- Jefferson County: 305 new cases; 27,884 total
- Madison County: 150 new cases; 11,305 total
- Calhoun County: 138 new cases; 5,608 total
- Shelby County: 98 new cases; 9,011
- Tuscaloosa County: 84 new cases; 11,810 total
