3 Firefighters Injured In Norwood House Fire

A house fire in the Norwood neighborhood Tuesday night injured three Birmingham firefighters.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A house fire Tuesday night in Birmingham's Norwood community resulted in three Birmingham firefighters being sent to UAB Hospital with injuries, according to Birmingham Fire & Rescue.

Firefighters arrived at the home, which is under renovation and uninhabited, just after 8 p.m. Tuesday. Reports also said a portion of the roof collapsed on the firefighters, who were then transported to UAB.

The blaze was finally contained by 11 p.m.

A report Wednesday morning from Birmingham Fire and Rescue said all three firefighters have been released from the hospital.
