37-Year-Old Man Killed In South Birmingham Shooting

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A man was shot and killed early Monday morning in south Birmingham. The incident occurred just after 2 a.m. on Coosa Street.

Sgt. Johnny Williams of the Birmingham Police Department said officers found 37-year-old David Franklin Lee unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound. Lee was pronounced dead on the scene.

Initial reports said Lee was involved in some sort of altercation before the shooting, but there are no suspects in custody as off Monday morning.
