381 New Coronavirus Cases In Alabama, Hospitalizations Decrease

Daily cases of new COVID-19 cases have seen a decrease this week, as well as the number of people hospitalized with the virus.

MONTGOMERY, AL — The number of new COVID-19 cases reported by the Alabama Department of Public Health Thursday show a trend of decreasing daily cases, and the latest report by the ADPH shows a decline in the number of patients hospitalized with the virus.

Alabama confirmed 381 new COVID-19 cases Thursday and 6 deaths from the virus, bringing the state's fatality total to 2,120.

In the last two weeks, 107,292 COVID-19 tests have been administered in the state, with 11,463 coming back positive. Hospitalizations from the virus have also decreased this week, with 956 COVID-19 patients currently in Alabama hospitals.

  • Jefferson County: 70 new cases; 16,240 total
  • Baldwin County: 37 new cases; 4,495 total
  • Madison County: 37 new cases; 6,382 total
  • Calhoun County: 34 new cases; 2,447 total
  • Walker County: 31 new cases; 1,881 total
