47-Year-Old Man Dies In West Birmingham Shooting
A shooting Monday on Bankhead Highway in Birmingham claimed the life of a 47-year-old man.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — A shooting in Birmingham Monday resulted in the death of a 47-year-old man when shots were fired into his vehicle on Bankhead Highway. The incident occurred just after noon.
The victim has been identified as Kenneth Buford of Birmingham.
Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said the preliminary investigation suggests that Buford was traveling on Bankhead Highway when someone in another vehicle fired shots into Buford's car.

Police believe Buford was targeted. No suspects in custody, and detectives have not established a motive in this investigation.
