5-Year-Old Killed In Shooting Identified; Suspect In Custody

A young boy killed in a shooting in Birmingham Saturday has been identified as police continue the investigation.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A 5-year-old boy killed in a shooting Saturday afternoon has been identified by police. Tanarius Moore was shot around 2:30 p.m. after family members in a dispute fired at each other. police said.

The shooting happened in the area of 33rd Terrace North and F.L. Shuttlesworth Drive around 2:30 p.m. The child was transported to Children’s Hospital for treatment where he later died.
