50-Year-Old Woman Found Dead In North Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, AL — Birmingham police are investigating a homicide after finding a woman dead in North Birmingham Monday. The victim has been identified as 50-year-old Lashawn Williams Parrish of Birmingham.

Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said Parrish was found dead in a home at 1024 12th Street North just before 11:30 a.m.

Mauldin said the preliminary investigation suggests the motive in the homicide "appears to be domestic in nature." He said no suspects are in custody.
