504 New Coronavirus Cases Confirmed in Alabama, 3 Deaths
The Alabama Department of Public Health reported 504 new COVID-19 cases Monday.
MONTGOMERY, AL — The Alabama Department of Public Health confirmed 504 new COVID-19 cases Monday, and three deaths from the virus in the last 24 hours. Alabama has now gone a week without reporting more than 1,000 new COVID-19 cases.
Total, the state has confirmed 126,299 cases of the virus since the pandemic began six months ago. In addition to the confirmed cases, the ADPH reports 13,160 probable cases, which are those cases which did not come from a positive COVID-19 test but showed up from antibody tests or epidemiologic tests.
In the last two weeks, the state has confirmed 8,837 COVID-19 cases, which is less than half the 14-day total in mid-July when Gov. Kay Ivey issued the statewide mask ordinance.

- Sept. 8: 405 new cases
- Sept. 9: 701 new cases
- Sept. 10: 687 new cases
- Sept. 11: 830 new cases
- Sept. 12: 726 new cases
- Sept. 13: 970 new cases
- Sept. 14: 504 new cases
No counties reported more than 100 new cases Monday, with Jefferson County leading the way with 77 new cases.
