  1. A massive 750-mile trail system is planned for Birmingham. It includes multi-use trails, parks, bike lanes, and sidewalks. The trails are for recreation, alternative transportation, physical and mental health, the preservation of green space, community connectivity, economic development, and tourism. (AL.com)
  2. The Birmingham Times explored the legacy of Bishop Calvin Woods, a Birmingham Civil Rights giant. Woods claimed that God called him to his preaching work, and he wanted to help people be saved. He said, "We're intercessors concerned about people trying to help them for real...we got to keep on doing that." (AL.com)
  3. A Pennsylvania company says it plans on restarting work at a Birmingham-area site. HarbisonWalker International intends to open a 200,000-square-foot facility by the end of the year with 50 workers.
