Accidental Shooting Claims Life Of Child
A 7-year-old boy died after a gun he was playing with in his home discharged.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - A young boy has been pronounced dead after a gun he was playing with in his home discharged.
Just after 6:00 pm Monday, Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a child being shot at a residence in the 6400 block of William Drive in the Concord. It was reported that a young male had been accidentally shot. He was transported to an area hospital with critical injuries. The victim was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the young victim as they face the difficult days ahead.," saif the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office in a statement.
