Additional Paid Parking Coming To Avondale Area
With the popularity of the Avondale retail and restaurant scene increasing, so is the demand for parking in the area.
BIRMINGHAM, AL - The restaurant and nightlife scene in Avondale has increased in popularity exponentially over the last few years. And with that increased popularity comes the increased demand for parking in the area.
According to a report by Alabama Media Group, more paid parking is being added to Avondale, as the surface parking lot near the corner of 41st Street and 3rd Avenue South, next door to Avondale Common House, will become a paid parking lot.

Starting Friday, Aug. 3, parking in the lot will be $1.50 an hour on nights and weekends and $1 an hour on weekdays. This comes just in time for the Secret Stages music festival in Avondale this coming weekend.
