Alabama Confirms 86 New Coronavirus Cases, 115 Deaths
A lag in Tuesday's COVID-19 data Tuesday meant the ADPH's new case total for Wednesday was lower than normal.
MONTGOMERY, AL — The Alabama Department of Public Health confirmed just 86 new cases of COVID-19 statewide Wednesday, and reported a whopping 115 deaths. The unusual data comes after the ADPH had a lag in data reporting Tuesday.
Total, the state has confirmed 118,220 cases of the virus since March and 11,457 in the last two weeks.
Alabama has confirmed 2,114 deaths from COVID-19 after Wednesday's addition of more than 100 new fatalities. The ADPH reported that the death total for Wednesday was due in part to late reports from some hospitals.
