Alabama Power Lake Levels Rising As Rain Continues

Heavy rains last week elevated Alabama Power lake levels, and rain this week is expected to push up lake levels even further.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — Alabama Power lake levels were already elevated after last week's rain storms, but heavy rain this week continues to raise lake levels throughout the state. Accordign to an Alabama NewsCenter report, Alabama Power storage reservoirs on the Coosa, Tallapoosa and Black Warrior rivers were above normal pool.

Weiss, Logan Martin and Smith lakes are expected to exceed summer levels this week.
