Alabama Tops 10,000 Coronavirus Cases, 400 Deaths
Alabama has now surpassed 400 coronavirus deaths, and topped 10,000 confirmed vases of the virus.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — Alabama has now reported more than 400 deaths from COVID-19, and 10,000 total cases since the Alabama Department of Public Safety started tracking the virus in March. The good news, however, is that for three straight days, the state reported fewer new cases.
Since posting the largest single day total of new COVID-19 cases May 7, each day has seen fewer new cases than the last, a trend that health officials have hoped to see as the state reopens the economy.
