AL 5th Congressional District Primary: Brooks Projected Winner
Incumbent Mo Brooks is projected to retain his House seat in Tuesday's election.

HUNTSVILLE, AL — The U.S. House of Representatives District 5 in Alabama will again be represented by Mo Brooks. The Republican is projected to be elected to the House for the fifth time, having served since 2011.
Brooks, who has been an avid supporter and advocate for Pres. Donald Trump, began his political career as Madison County's district attorney and later served in Alabama's House of Representatives before running for his current position.
Brooks' opponent, Chris Lewis, is a retired United States Navy flight officer who is running for office for the first time. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1993,and holds master's degrees from the University of West Florida and the United States Naval War College.
