April 28 is National Drug Take Back Day In Jefferson County

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office announced that residents can dispose of their unused prescriptions April 28 at two locations.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office announced it will participate in National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, an initiative that aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications. The Sheriff’s Office will host two collection sites between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm this Saturday April 28:

  • Jefferson County Sheriff Office Center Point Substation 2651 Center Point Road, 35215
  • Jefferson County Sheriff Office McCalla Substation 5977 Eastern Valley Road 35111
