Argument Turns Deadly In East Birmingham: Police
Birmingham police say a verbal altercation Sunday afternoon resulted in a deadly shooting.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — Birmingham police say and argument Sunday afternoon escalated into a homicide at a Birmingham apartment complex. The incident occurred around 1:15 p.m.
Officer Truman Fitzgerald of the Birmingham Police Department said East Precinct officers found a gunshot victim lying unresponsive in a grassy area outside a complex in the 2900 block of Gallant.
The victim, identified as 30-year-old Ladarius Bloxom, was pronounced dead at the scene.

"The preliminary investigation suggests the victim was involved in a verbal argument with
an individual prior to being shot," Fitzgerald said. "Currently, there is no one in custody. The exact motive in this homicide is unclear at this time."
