Arrest Made In Deadly Shooting At Birmingham Captain D's
Birmingham police have arrested a man in connection with the fatal shooting of 39-year-old Richard Vaughn.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A McCalla man has been arrested and charged with murder in the fatal shooting of Richard Vaughn at a Captain D's restaurant in Birmingham. The incident occurred just after 10:30 p.m. at 9973 Parkway East.
Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said an altercation at the restaurant among employees led to non-employees intervening, and shots being fired. Police identified 31-year-old Donovin Allen as the man who shot Vaughn. Neither Allen nor Vaughn were employees of the restaurant.
Vaughn was taken to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Allen is being held in Jefferson County Jail on $150,000 bond.
