A Birmingham man visiting New York City died after being punched, and police have a suspect in custody.

NEW YORK, NY - A Birmingham man's visit to New York City for his sister's baby shower turned deadly, when he became involved in an altercation that led to him being killed. Troy Scott, 40, of Birmingham, died at Lincoln Hospital after an incident about 1 a.m. near East 169 St. and Prospect Avenue in Morrisania, the Bronx.
A WABC News report said Scott was involved in a verbal dispute with the attacker before he was punched. Scott then fell, cracked his head and died, police said. The medical examiner has yet to determine the official cause of death, however.
Jimmy Rosario, 34, was arrested Wednesday and charged with assault in connection to the June 16 death.
