Arrest Made In Fatal I-65 Shooting

A Bessemer man has been arrested and charged in the August 10 shooting of Condorius Sanchez Williams.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — An arrest has been made in the deadly shooting on I-65 that claimed the life of 30-year-old Condorius Sanchez Williams of Adamsville. The incident occurred August 10 just before 1 a.m.

Williams was traveling northbound on I-65 under the 16th Street Bridge when he was shot. Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said the initial investigation suggested that Williams was targeted in the shooting.

Wednesday, 33-year-old Antonio Davis of Bessemer was taken into custody and charged with capital murder. He remains in Jefferson County Jail with no bond.
