Arrest Made In Fatal Shooting In East Birmingham
A 39-year-old man is dead and a 29-year-olkd man is in custody after a shooting in East Birmingham Sunday.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — One man is dead and another is in police custody after a shooting early Sunday morning in East Birmingham. The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Timothy Hall of Birmingham.
Police say the shooting occurred just before 3 a.m. in the 200 block of 62nd Street South. East precinct officers canvassed the area and made contact with a community member who stated they had a person of interest on the phone with them who may be connected to the initial shot spotter call.
A person of interest was identified and said to be parked at a Shell station at 3833 Eastlake Boulevard, according to Sgt. Rod Mauldin. Mauldin said officers approached the vehicle where they found Hall lying unresponsive inside of the vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the location and pronounced the victim deceased.

Police arrested Lawrence Eaton and have charged him with murder. Eaton is being held at Jefferson County Jail with no bond.
