Arrest Made In West Birmingham Homicide
A 20-year-old man was arrested Tuesday and charged in the Dec. 12 shooting death of Jeremy Fidel Jackson.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A man has been arrested and charged with murder in the Dec. 12 shooting death of 19-year-old Jeremy Fidel Jackson. The shooting occurred early Sunday morning at an apartment at 956 Pike Road in west Birmingham.
Officers found Jackson dead in an apartment just after midnight Sunday after receiving a report of shots fired, according to Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department. Police on the scene took Laquandre Rashaud Kelly, 20, into custody.
Kelly was officially charged with murder Tuesday after an investigation. He is in custody at Jefferson County Jail on $100,000 bond.
