Bahamas Bowl Travel Packages Available For UAB Fans

UAB fans can find deals on travel to the Bahamas to cheer on the Blazers in their bowl game against Ohio.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - Fans interested in traveling from Birmingham to the Bahamas Bowl to watch the Blazers take on the Ohio Bobcats are invited to take advantage of a great travel package courtesy of the UAB National Alumni Society. Alumni and fans have an opportunity that includes round trip airfare and special access to VIP experiences while in Nassau.

According to a statement by the UAB Athletic Department, seating is limited and reservations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.

  • Departing: December 20th at 9:30 a.m. CST
  • Returning: December 23rd at 11:30 a.m. CST
  • Roundtrip, direct flight from Birmingham to Nassau
  • Roundtrip transportation by police escorted bus between airport and hotel
  • Roundtrip transportation by police escorted bus to and from Bahama Bowl Game
  • Official travel party credentials
  • Welcome Reception at Atlantis Resort on December 20th
  • Evening Reception on December 21st
  • Tailgate prior to game on December 22nd

Standard seating on the plane is $950, and first class is $1,500. Tickets for the 2017 Bahamas Bowl are $50 and can be purchased through the UAB Athletics ticket site or as an add-on to the travel package at the end of the booking process. A valid US Passport is required for any travel to the Bahamas, and it is recommended that passports do not expire within six months of travel to the Bahamas or issues may be encountered with customs.
