Barons Return Home Wednesday To Begin 5-Game Homestand

BIRMINGHAM, AL — The Birmingham Barons retiurn home to Regions Field Wednesday night, beginning a five-game series against the Montgomery Biscuits. And in addition to quality baseball action, the homestand features a variety of promotions and giveaways.

The schedule for the homestand is as follows:

Wednesday, August 7

• Game Time: First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. Regions Field gates will open at 6:00 p.m.
• Broadcast: Online at barons.com, and on Barons radio affiliate WJQX 100.5.
• AAA Wednesday: Present your AAA card at the ticket office and receive $2 off a regular priced ticket, courtesy of AAA.
• Wet Nose Wednesday: Order your Wet Nose Wednesday Ticket Package and you and your fur baby will receive a general admission ticket and a dog toy at tonight’s game thanks to Hollywood Feed. A portion of ticket sales will go toward that evening's charitable sponsor, the Boston Terrier Rescue.

Thursday, August 8

• Game Time: First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. Regions Field gates will open at 6:00 p.m.
• Broadcast: Live online at barons.com, and on Barons radio affiliate WJQX 100.5.
• Thirsty Thursday: Enjoy $2 beer, wine, and soft drinks, courtesy of Miller Lite, Woodbridge Wines, and Buffalo Wild Wings.

Friday, August 9

• Game Time: First pitch is at 6:30 p.m. Regions Field gates will open at 5:30 p.m.
• Broadcast: Live online at barons.com, and on Barons radio affiliate WJQX 100.5.
• College Night: Spend your night at Regions Field with your favorite college mascots Aubie, Big Al, and others.
• Barons Cruiser Giveaway: The first 1,000 fans will receive a Barons Replica Cruiser thanks to Triple-A of Alabama.

Saturday, August 10

• Game Time: First pitch is at 6:30 p.m. Regions Field gates will open at 5:30 p.m.
• Broadcast: Live online at barons.com, and on Barons radio affiliate WJQX 100.5.
• Back to School Night: The Barons celebrate the upcoming school year with Back to School Night. Tonight, the first 500 kids in attendance will receive a Barons jersey back pack & first-aid kit thanks to St. Vincent’s, a part of Ascension
• Pyro-Palooza XII: The biggest Fireworks Show of the season, thanks to the Birmingham Shuttlesworth International Airport.

Sunday, August 11

• Game Time: First pitch is at 4:00 p.m. Regions Field gates will open at 3:00 p.m.
• Broadcast: Live online at barons.com, and on Barons radio affiliate WJQX 100.5.
• Kids Run the Bases: As part of our Family Sunday's at Regions Field, kids will be allowed to run the bases at the end of the game thanks to Papa John’s and Jack’s.
• Zoo Animals: Fans have the chance to meet zoo animals at the ballpark thanks to the Birmingham Zoo.

As construction continues in downtown Birmingham for the 59/20 Interstate improvements, the Alabama Department of Transportation requests drivers to take alternative routes to Regions Field. Fans can learn more about alternative routes by going to 59/20 Bridge Project website.
