Bessemer Man Killed In Multi-Vehicle Crash On I-59
A crash Thursday night on Interstate 59 resulted in the death of a 49-year-old Bessemer man.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - A 49-year-old Bessemer man died in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 59 in Jefferson County Thursday night.
According to a report by Alabama Media Group, The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the victim as Robert Daryl Lester. Authorities said Lester was driving his Ford Taurus northbound at approximately 7 p.m. Thursday when he was struck from behind by a pickup truck. The impact caused Lester to lose control and crash into the concrete median.

There were four vehicles total involved in the crash. It remains under investigation by the Alabama State Troopers.
