Bessemer Shooting: 17-Year-Old Dead, 15-Year Old In Custody
A 17-year-old boy was shot to death in Bessemer Sunday night, and police have a 15-year-old in custody in connection to the shooting.
BESSEMER, AL — A 17-year-old boy was shot and killed in Bessemer Sunday night. An Alabama Media Group report said police have a 15-year-old suspect in custody.
Police said the incident occurred before 10 p.m. in the 4600 block of Little Drive. Zykeith Peavy, 17, was reportedly meeting up with the 15-year-old to buy a gun, according to al.com
The victim was shot after an altercation and was taken to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead just after 11 p.m., al.com said.
