Birmingham Area High School Football Playoffs 2020: Round 1

BIRMINGHAM, AL — The AHSAA football playoffs kick off Friday with several Birmingham area teams in action, with a quest for a state championship.

In Class 7A, Thompson, Hoover and Oak Mountain made the playoff bracket, while in 6A, Mountain Brook, Pinson Valley, Clay-Chalkville, Shades Valley, Pelham, Hueytown, Helena, Minor, Briarwood and Homewood will look to keep their 2020 season alive.

In 5A, Ramsay, Center Point, Fairfield, Leeds and Parker are in action Friday in Round 1.
