Birmingham High School Football Schedules, Scores Sept. 20

BIRMINGHAM, AL — Week 5 of the high school football season kicks off Friday, with several rivalry games and match-ups with region championship implications.

In a rivalry that features undefeated teams, Vestavia Hills hosts Mountain Brook. Both teams are ranked in the top 10 in the most recent Alabama Sports Writers Association 7A poll. Hewitt-Trussville looks to rebound after last week's loss to Hoover as the Huskies take on Spain Park, while Hoover hosts Oak Mountain.

In 6A action, Clay-Chalkville comes off a loss last week to face Gardendale, while Pinson faces Oxford.

In other area-wide games, Wenonah hosts Briarwood, Ramsay plays Fairfield, Parker travels to Pleasant Grove, Jackson-Olin faces Carver, Shades Valley hosts Stanhope Elmore, Pelham hosts Chelsea, and Hueytown hosts Brookwood.
