BIRMINGHAM, AL — Week two of the high school football season begins Thursday night, with a big slate of games on the schedule ahead of Labor Day weekend.
Locally, Hueytown hosts Helena, Bessemer Academy hosts Evangel Christian, Center Point travels to Mountain Brook.
Friday's games include Midfield v. Tarrant, Westlake hosting Clay-Chalkville, Hewitt -Trussville taking on West Forsyth (Ga.), Ramsay hosting Pinson Valley, Carver facing Fairfield, Spain Park hosting Bessemer City, Homewood taking on Vestavia Hills, Hoover playing Cocoa (Fl) in Georgia; Shades Valley hosting Jackson-Olin and Pelham hosting Bibb County.
