Birmingham Homicide Suspect Arrested: Police
A suspect in the Dec. 23 death of Justin Rayshun Johnson has been arrested by Birmingham police.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A suspect in a Dec. 23 homicide in Birmingham has been arrested by Birmingham police. Cameron Rayford, 36, is charged with the murder of Justin Rayshun Johnson.
The incident occurred just after 1 p.m. Dec. 23 on Martin Luther Avenue in west Birmingham. Officers found Johnson and another victim suffering gunshot wounds. Both were taken to UAB Hospital, where Johnson later died. Then other victim is expected to recover from his injury.
Rayford was identified as a suspect after an investigation showed the shooting was the result of a verbal altercation between the victims and Rayford.

Rayford is charged with murder and attempted murder and is being held in Jefferson County Jail.
