Birmingham Homicide Suspect Arrested By U.S. Marshals
A man wanted in connection to one of five homicides in the area Dec. 8 has been captured.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A suspect in the Dec. 8 shooting death of 44-year-old Clasco Johnson was arrested Thursday night by U.S. Marshals. Cornelius Xavier Daniels was taken into custody at a residence on Ninth Avenue North.
Daniels has been charged with murder in the Dec. 8 incident at Second Court West and 12th Street. Johnson was found by police officers suffering from a gunshot wound, and was taken to Princeton Hospital where he later died.
Daniels was identified as a suspect later in the week, according to police. He is being held at Jefferson County Jail on $600,000 bond.
