Birmingham Hotel 'Lights Up For Hope' Amid Coronavirus Pandemic
Sheraton Birmingham has lit up its windows in the shape of a heart as a message of hope to the Birmingham community.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — Sheraton Birmingham has lit up its windows on the exterior of the building in the shape of a heart as a message of hope to the Birmingham community during the coronavirus pandemic.
"We decided to light up our windows in the shape of a heart to show solidarity and support for our associates and the local community as a symbol of love and hope," said Steve Miller, the General Manager of the Sheraton Birmingham.
Miller said the hotel started lighting up the windows Tuesday night as an initiative from their staff, to show appreciation for our Healthcare workers, first responders and as a message of hope to the hospitality industry, which has been devastated by COVID-19, pandemic.

The Sheraton Birmingham Heart of Hope, can be seen from Interstate 20/59 South, downtown Birmingham.

Several other hotels in major cities, including Chicago, Phoenix, San Francisco and Houston, have also started lighting up its windows in a heart shape as well.
