Birmingham Iron Roster Includes 10 UA, 5 AU Players

The Birmingham Iron will play its first game February 10, and will include 10 former Crimson Tide players and five former Tigers.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - The Alliance of American Football season kicks off in just a couple of weeks, and the Birmingham Iron has finalized their inaugural season roster, which includes 10 former University of Alabama players, five former Auburn University players, and players from Samford, Troy, South Alabama and Tuskegee. There are no former UAB players on the Iron roster.

The Iron was allowed - according to AAF rules - to sign players from 13 in-state schools as well as Louisiana Tech, Maryland, Mississippi State, Missouri, North Carolina State and South Carolina.

Auburn:

Wide receiver Quan Bray, defensive back Chris Davis, cornerback Trovon Reed, defensive back Ryan White, guard Avery Young

Samford:

Linebacker Shaheed Salmon

South Alabama:

Troy:

Linebacker Jonathan Massaquoi

Tuskegee:

Wide receiver DeVozea Felton

Birmingham will play its first game against the Memphis Express at 1 p.m., Feb. 10 at Legion Field.
