Birmingham Lawmaker Arrested For Domestic Violence

DESTIN, FL — A member of Alabama's House of Representatives has been arrested in Florida for domestic violence. Rep. Rolanda Hollis of Birmingham, who represents District 58 in the state legislature, was arrested September 22 and charged with charged with domestic battery, according to a news report.

The incident occurred at The Inn on Destin Harbor in Destin, Florida, according to a report by the Northwest Florida Daily News.

A witness tolf the Okaloosa County Sheriff's office that the victim opened the door to the room and Hollis shoved the victim as he was entering.

Hollis was released Sept. 23 from Okaloosa County Jail after posting a signature bond.
