Birmingham Man Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash

BIRMINGHAM, AL—The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified the man Thursday killed in a single-vehicle crash earlier this week. He is Clifton Earl Stevenson, 57, of Birmingham.

According to AL.com, the accident happened Tuesday night along the 5400 block of East Lake Boulevard.

Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates told the newspaper Stevenson lost his life when his Ford Crown Victoria veered off the roadway and went through a chain link fence and ditch before coming to a rest up an embankment.

Stevenson was ejected from his car and pronounced dead on the scene around 11:30 p.m.
