Birmingham Is One Of The Friendliest Cities In The U.S.
A recent study shows that Birmingham ranks among the friendliest cities in the country.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - Birmingham is one of the friendliest cities in the United States. At least that is what a recent study by Travel + Leisure magazine revealed in a recent issue. The publication conducted its America's Favorite Places survey - which is a way for locals to share what their hometowns do best. Readers ranked their hometowns and cities across a range of categories ranging from food to sports to friendliness.
Birmingham ranked 11th on the list, with the comment about the Magic City being, "Locals say Birmingham is a true example of Southern hospitality. Residents will want to learn all about you — especially if you know someone they might know, one survey respondent noted."
Although Buffalo. New York topped the list, most of the top 20 cities were located in the deep south, where hospitality is somewhat commonplace. Norfolk, Virginia, Greenville, South Carolina and New Orleans and San Antonio rounded out the top 5.
