The Birmingham Police Department is seeking t help from the public in efforts to solve a cold case murder from 2018.

The victim, Kijuan Ulysses Harrell was murdered on June 23, 2018. Officers from south precinct responded to the 500 block of Valley Avenue at 1:22 a.m. to find Harrell in the front passenger seat of a vehicle wounded by gunfire. Birmingham Fire and Rescue responded and transported the victim to UAB where he succumb to his injuries.

The preliminary investigation indicates shots were fired by someone in a black vehicle believed to be a Nissan Maxima. No arrest has been made in this case.
