Bessemer Man Killed In Birmingham's 100th Homicide Of The Year

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A man was killed Tuesday night in what marked the 100th homicide in Birmingham in 2020. The incident occurred just after 6:30 p.m. on 21st Street.

Although details of the shooting are limited, Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said Reynard Orr, of Bessemer was found inside a home at 2803 21st Street in Ensley and was taken to a hospital where he later was pronounced dead.

Mauldin said an altercation occurred before the shooting, but no suspects are in custody.
