The Birmingham Public Library's Diversity Committee is devoted to the development of impactful, inclusive programming for all ages.

As students prepare for the 2020 fall semester, the committee is providing rising high school seniors and college-bound students alike an opportunity to engage with representatives of various colleges and universities across the southeast.

Facilitators are prepared to discuss requirements for college admission, application deadlines, federal financial aid (FASFA) and more. This free series of virtual events is scheduled to be live-streamed to the Birmingham Public Library Facebook page.

The first of the BPL Virtual College Fair are as follows:

* Thursday, July 16, 2:00 p.m. - Jefferson State Community College

* Tuesday, July 21, 2:00 p.m. - University of South Alabama

* Wednesday, July 22, 2:00 p.m. - University of Alabama at Birmingham

Join us this Thursday, July 16, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. for the kickoff of these virtual college fairs.
