  1. Students and many parents are working from home during this time. This might be a great opportunity for you to enhance your computer skills. As a Birmingham Public Library patron, you have access to a variety of online video tutorials that you can use at your convenience. Take advantage of classes in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Office 365, and PowerPoint from the basic to advanced level. Courses on Word, Excel and PowerPoint are available from version 2007-2016. Enhance your skills in using Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10. Follow the guidelines below to access the database from home.
  2. Go to www.bplonline.org.

  1. Click on Databases.
  2. In the Database Quick Links drop-down list, select LearningExpress Library, then click Go.
  3. Enter your Library Card Number and Pin.
  4. Computer Skills Center will not show up in the list until you sign in.
  5. Click on Centers.
  6. Select Computer Skills Center, then select Popular Software Tools.
