Birmingham Public Library To Participate In National Voter Registration Day On Sept. 22

Voter registration forms can be picked up via BPL's Curbside Service.

National Voter Registration Day, a nonpartisan civic holiday celebrating democracy, will be held this year on September 22. This day was first observed in 2012. Since it was first held, almost 3 million voters from all 50 states have registered to vote on this day. Voter registration forms can be picked up via BPL's Curbside Service at the following locations: Avondale, Five Points West, North Birmingham, Springville Road, and beginning September 21, Central Library. Instructions for curbside pickup can be found here. Forms should be filled out and returned to the Board of Registrars for the county of the registering person, which are listed on the back of the form.

  • By mail: postmarked by October 19
  • In person: by close of business on October 19
  • Online: submitted by 11:59 p.m. on October 19

Absentee Ballot Application: Thursday, October 29, 2020 (Absentee Election Manager Locations)

  • By mail: received by October 29
  • In person: received by October 29
  • Online: N/A

Completed Absentee Ballot

  • By mail: postmarked by November 2 and received by the absentee election manager no later than noon on November 3
  • In person: received by close of business (but no later than 5:00 p.m.) on November 2
